Maridian has been begging to play baseball for quite some months now. So, when we saw that T-ball sign-ups were this last week we decided it was time to put her on a team! She feels so left out when all the boys go to scouts, friends houses, swimming, camping, and so forth during the summer. We decided that T-ball would be Maridian's summer activity that was just hers. She had her team meeting yesterday and all the teammates decided on the name T-Rex for their team and the team colors are going to be green with white writing. Today was Maridians first team practice. They will practice M-F for 2 weeks and then start to play the actual games. I was so proud watching my girl run, hit, and catch! Go Maridian!

75 Degrees!
About 3 weeks ago, I bought the kids a new slip n' slide for the summer. Since then they have asked everyday if we can set it up yet. I told them not until it was sunny and over 70 degrees out. Well, today was the day! The sun is shining and our high is 75 so the kids are sliping and sliding! They are so excited! Hopefully we will continue to have good weather now! Of course, Sterling is just supervising the fun because he now feels he is too old to go sliding across the lawn..lol! So, Here are the best picture of each of the kids sliding from oldest (supervisor) to youngest!

Slate Board Craft!
I was recently called to be on the Relief Society Activities Planning Committee for my ward at church. I was asked to come up with a fun and easy craft we can do at our next activity. I searched the internet and came across this super easy but awesome patriotic craft. I bought a slate board from a local craft store for $1.99, and some acrylic paint. I started by putting a layer of clear laquar on the wood frame, then painted an American flag on the slate itself, and then finished it off by writing a patriotic word on each side using a permanent marker adding a little extra swirl to tie it all together. This craft took a total of 20 minutes and at the most $3.00 to make. It came out good and I am quite proud of it! Something I can display all summer!

Yucky Toe!
I have been struggling with a recurring ingrown toenail for years now and have always been able to manage it on my own. Well, last week my ingrown toenail on my left big toe got so bad and infected both bacterial and fungal that the doctor put me on antibiotics, ordered me to soak my foot 3 times a day, and take ibuprofen and told me to come back 4 days later. The doctor could not give me meds to kill the fungal infection so because the toe was so bad it was decided to remove the entire toenail and start over! So, on Friday 5-21-10, I had my toe numbed up (painful) and my nail removed. Even though the pain is pretty intense and I can not wear a shoe yet, my toe feels much better than it did before. I warn you that if you have a weak stomache the picture might be too much for you..lol!
